quicklaunch: frequently asked questions

Who is a good fit for a QuickLaunch site?

Business owners who need a site live FAST to give them credibility but still care about looks, need to edit their own content and want a scalable solution that they can build on over time. With QuickLaunch, you can be live within two to three weeks and — because we build it in WordPress — our clients can edit their own content easily (training included) and WordPress makes it very easy to eventually replace the QuickLaunch theme with a custom design while leaving all the content and other functionality intact.

Is QuickLaunch a template?

We have NEVER supported templated web design and we don’t intend to start now. While we do use an existing framework to accelerate the development of QuickLaunch sites from a programming perspective, all of our web sites feature CUSTOM design, with all the graphics work being done by a senior-level designer. We developed this program to allow entrepreneurs to get a workable site live quickly and cost effectively without sacrificing design. Our goal was to offer the best value available anywhere in small business web design and we believe we’ve done that here in providing entrepreneurs with great-looking sites featuring WordPress content management for about $1000 and live in less than a month.

How scalable is my QuickLaunch site?

We’ve designed this product to be as scalable as any other site we build. Because we’ve built QuickLaunch on the WordPress publishing platform, all our sites can grow to accommodate additional functionality. It’s also important to note that WordPress also makes it very easy to change the look and feel of a site without changing the back-end navigation structure or the site content. So down the road, you can always  re-skin your web site as if you were re-siding a house.

What am I responsible for as the client?

As a QuickLaunch client, your primary responsibility will be to provide all the content, logos and images necessary to complete your site. If you do not own images that you would like to use, we can help you find appropriate stock photography, though you will be responsible for purchasing the photography and transmitting to us. Logos and images must be of professional quality and adequate resolution; we can not redraw, retouch or enhance images or logos within the scope of this project. All written content must be delivered in Word (.doc) or a similar format where text can be easily copied and pasted. We will not retype any content provided in a printed, written or graphic format, nor will we be responsible for correcting any typographical or factual errors in the source material we are provided.

You will also be asked to provide us with some basic direction with regard to the use of your brand. We will also request that you be available via phone and email during the process and that you respond quickly to any questions we have or approvals we need.

I need additional functionality like forms, a photo gallery and e-commerce for my web site. Can I add that kind of functionality to a QuickLaunch site?

We have many add-ons available for QuickLaunch sites including forms, photo galleries, video, podcasting, slide shows, Google Maps, social media integration and more.

Unfortunately, we are not yet offering e-commerce for QuickLaunch clients, but that is coming soon!

Do I need to use Zero-G’s hosting?

No, but we will only work with specific hosting providers and you will need to use a host approved by Zero-G. There also is not a discount for clients who decline our offer of free hosting.

Can I take advantage of QuickLaunch add-on modules if I’m not a QuickLaunch client?

No, sorry. Pricing for those items is ONLY available for QuickLaunch clients.

Will it really be done in just a couple of weeks?

Once you have provided your creative direction and we have received your c0ntent, logo and other visual assets, we will have your QuickLaunch site live within two to three business weeks. We try to let clients know in advance if we are unable to meet the two week goal due to a large volume of requests but that is rare. The only other conditions that may cause a small delay are unforseen technical issues, illness or other unpredictable act of a higher power.
