where chicago’s newest solution for primary care physicians and atlanta’s small business marketing experts met for success
Our client Vijay Kotte spent nearly a decade in managed healthcare with six of those years as a Corporate Vice President at WellCare Health Group (NYSE: WCG). When he left in 2008 to launch his own healthcare solution — matching the interests of primary care physicians with the health insurance providers for mutual gain — he called Zero-G Creative.
Our first challenge was to help Vijay name his new enterprise. He described his business as the “vertex” or “meeting point” between the wants and needs of the physicians and healthcare companies. The word “vertex” sounded cold and technical though and was already being used by a variety of companies in a range of industries. But the meaning was perfect. The name we came up with “Vertisy” was based on the Italian word “vertice” (translation of vertex) spelled in a more phoenetically-friendly way. We also collaborated with Vijay on the company’s tagline “Where leading primary care providers and health plans meet for success.”
Next, we tackled Vertisy’s brand identity, designing the logo pictured at left, with the mark over the “i” signifying the company’s value proposition at the vertex of the physician/insurance provider relationship.
We created a complete identity package for Vertisy including business cards, letterhead and envelopes, and even did the signage for the company’s launch event in Chicago.
Finally, we created Vertisy’s web site. The web site was to be an especially important piece of the puzzle because Vijay was counting on it to give him credibility with the physicians he was working with. In the planning stages, he stressed the importance of looking like an established business. The site we created is clean, professional and mature.
Thank you for the opportunity Vijay! We really enjoyed the challenge.
